About The Position

The purpose of this class within the organization is to operate heavy equipment on job sites, assigned facilities and other designated locations for a department, division or work unit. This class works under close supervision according to set procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • One year of equipment operation experience or closely related experience.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle with a manual transmission.
  • Class A or B Commercial Driver's License required.

  • Communications - listens, speaks and/or writes in a clear, concise and respectful manner.

Responsibilities

  • Operates a broad range of equipment which may include Riverbank Tractors, Right-of-Way Tractors, Vactor Trucks, Backhoe, Excavator, Endloader, Gradall, Blacktop Paver, Roller, Tree Trucks Dump Trucks and/or other equipment.
  • Loads and unloads equipment, tools, and job materials.
  • Strives to be efficient and effective at balancing and meeting the common needs and reasonable expectations of core constitutes.
  • Contributes towards the department's mission by continuously striving to meet expectations, strategic goals and objectives.
