About The Position
John Smith Landfill, a Waste Connections company, has an immediate position available for a Heavy Equipment Operator at our operation in Hollister, CA. The primary duties of this job is operating a CDL required water truck, articulated haul truck, loader and other pieces of equipment on site. The schedule will be Tuesday - Saturday day shift - 8-10 hours per day. The starting pay rate will be $32-36/hour. Requirements
- At least 1 year of heavy equipment operation experience
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License
- Clean driving record
- Ability to be self directed as well as work in a team environment
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
Responsibilities
- Operating water truck, haul truck, loader and other equipment
- Loading recycle materials in a hopper
- Pushing up piles of yard debris, rubble
- Responsible for equipment inspection
