About The Position
Are you an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator looking for a hands-on role where your skills make an impact? EMR, a global leader in metal recycling, is hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our Lafayette, LA depot! What You’ll Do: Operate material handler and excavators to move and process metal Perform daily equipment inspections and maintenance Follow safety protocols to ensure a secure work environment Work outdoors in all weather conditions Support the team with additional duties as needed
Requirements
- Previous experience with material handling and excavators (a plus)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in varying weather conditions
- Strong work ethic, teamwork skills, and ability to multitask
- Must pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
