Heavy Equipment Operator (supporting NASA)
About The Position
ASRC Federal Facilities Logistics LLC, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to support our Prime NASA program at Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD. The Heavy Equipment Operator operates heavy equipment such as cranes, clamshells, power shovels, motor graders, heavy loaders, carryalls, bulldozers, rollers, scrapers, and large industrial tractors with pan or scrapper attachments. Equipment is used to excavate, load, or move dirt, gravel, or other materials. The operator will read and interpret grade and slope stakes and simple plans, and may grease, adjust, and make emergency repairs to equipment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 4 years of experience performing as a Heavy Equipment Operator
Responsibilities
- Operates heavy equipment such as cranes, clamshells, power shovels, motor graders, heavy loaders, carryalls, bulldozers, rollers, scrapers, and large industrial tractors with pan or scrapper attachments.
- Excavates, loads, or moves dirt, gravel, or other materials using heavy equipment.
- Reads and interprets grade and slope stakes and simple plans.
- Greases, adjusts, and makes emergency repairs to equipment.
