Heavy Equipment Operators are responsible for the safe operation and control of a wide range of machinery, including excavators, loaders, bulldozers, skid steers, landfill compactors, sweepers, forklifts, and track mobiles. In this role, operators handle tasks such as moving earth, loading and unloading materials, grading surfaces, and lifting heavy loads with precision and efficiency. They also perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance, including identifying mechanical concerns, lubricating components, and ensuring all safety features are functioning properly at all times. A valid hoisting license is required for positions based in Massachusetts.
