About The Position

McGill Environmental Systems is hiring a 1st Shift Heavy Equipment Operator to join their team in Morrisville, PA. This role is critical in transforming organic waste into high-quality compost, mulch, and soil products. The position involves operating heavy equipment to move, blend, load, screen, and process materials while ensuring production goals, quality standards, and safety requirements are met. It is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in operating equipment safely, efficiently, and with attention to detail.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED preferred
Experience operating heavy equipment such as Front-End Loaders, Excavators, Skid Steers, Backhoes, or similar equipment
Experience in construction, material handling, recycling, landscaping, agriculture, or industrial operations preferred
Ability to work independently and stay productive throughout the shift
Reliable transportation to the Morrisville, PA facility
Strong commitment to safety and teamwork

Responsibilities

Operate loaders, excavators, skid steers, backhoes, grinders, screeners, and other equipment safely and efficiently
Load and move materials throughout the facility
Perform blending and material processing activities
Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance checks
Identify and report equipment issues before they become major problems
Follow all safety procedures, environmental regulations, and PPE requirements
Support production goals while maintaining quality standards
Work independently while contributing to a strong team environment
