About The Position

McGill Environmental Systems is hiring a 2nd Shift Heavy Equipment Operator Supervisor for our compost manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll manage workflow, support safety initiatives, coach employees, monitor production goals, and operate equipment when needed to keep operations running efficiently. You'll serve as the primary operations leader during second shift, ensuring production, quality, and safety expectations are consistently met.

Requirements

• 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience (Supervisor, Team Lead, Foreman, Crew Lead, Shift Lead, etc.)
• 3–5 years of heavy equipment experience in manufacturing, recycling, agriculture, construction, material handling, or industrial operations
• Strong understanding of workplace safety and equipment operation
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license
• Experience coaching and developing employees

Nice To Haves

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
• Experience with composting, recycling, agriculture, or material handling operations
• Experience operating loaders, skid steers, or screening equipment
• Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience
