About The Position

Under general supervision, operates and performs minor maintenance of heavy
construction vehicles and equipment to assist in the construction and
maintenance of sanitary and storm sewer facilities

The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District provides comprehensive wastewater and

Responsibilities

• Operates heavy construction vehicles and equipment such as a back hoe, excavator, skid steer or truck mounted crane in digging trenches, loading trucks, lowering pipe/ shoring and back filling
• Hoisting machinery/equipment such as pumps, gate assemblies and personnel in man baskets
• Operates equipment such as a wheel loader in loading trucks at ground level
• Inspects and services vehicle and makes minor repairs
• Makes minor repairs to all equipment
• Transfers equipment and stations for safe operation
• Supervises work of assigned employees
• Perform related work as required or as delegated by supervisor
