About The Position

Heritage Concrete is seeking a full-time, year-round Loader Operator/Yard position at their Middletown, Delaware location. This role offers opportunities for advancement and cross-training. The position involves transporting materials, performing general labor, plant maintenance, site maintenance, quality control, block making, parts running, and fleet maintenance.

Requirements

• Regular and predictable attendance.
• Ability to work various times during day, night or weekend hours, at various locations.
• Ability to work over-time on a regular basis.
• Experience running a Front End Loader/Heavy equipment operator experience.
• Pass a drug screen, physical and criminal background check.
• Able to work independently with attention to detail.
• Able to follow direction and work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to effectively prioritize assignments to meet long-term and short-term deadlines.

Nice To Haves

• Landscaping/Construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transporting various material and products throughout the yard and plant area.
• Performing general labor assignments.
• Monitoring plant components and completing scheduled maintenance daily.
• Shoveling material under conveyor belts, keeping plant equipment and components clean, painting, greasing, changing and/or repairing parts, and baghouse and ductwork maintenance.
• Breaking material lumps and clearing load hoppers, applying heat by use of portable torch, draining water systems/thawing piping, and other general plant maintenance.
• Landscaping, sweeping, painting, shoveling, repairs, trash control, and cleaning of plant, offices, and shop areas.
• Testing aggregates and concrete mixes (ACI level 1) and cleaning testing equipment.
• Stripping block forms, prepping block forms (cleaning concrete, oiling forms), setting re-bar, and pouring and finishing blocks.
• Delivering and/or picking up parts, mail supplies, etc.
• Helping mechanics as needed with repairs of equipment and chipping mixer drums.
• Performing quality assurance tests and responding to results in a positive manner.
• Operating a decumulator.
• Operating a water truck to manage fugitive dust.
• Other duties as assigned.
