As our Heavy Equipment Operator (Material Handler), you will be responsible for moving, reducing, processing, and loading materials as dictated by production activity. Your organizational and time management skills will play a key role in your success. You will be a member of a safety focused team who has high standards for work, great attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

Requirements

  • 1+ years’ experience operating material handlers with grapple and magnet
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Positive attitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to monitor processes, material and operating environment
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Safety conscious

Nice To Haves

  • Scrap metal experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Load railcars with recycled metal materials
  • Operate material handler in a safe and effective manner
  • Move, reduce, process, and load materials as dictated by production activity
  • Pile, spread, or sort product by grade for appropriate placement on site
  • Understand product/material information
  • Clean and service equipment as scheduled or required
  • Other assigned work as required
