Supervises and operates heavy equipment such as cranes, clamshells, power shovels, motor graders, heavy loaders, carryalls, bulldozers, rollers, scrapers, and large industrial tractors with pan or scrapper attachments. Supervises other Heavy Equipment Operators in the performance, repairs, and operation of heavy equipment. The Heavy Equipment Operator Lead supports supervisor with the mission, workload management and provide leadership to 20 employees. Operates equipment in a safe and effective manner to minimize risk of injury, property damage, or loss of life; equipment may include, but is not limited to, Fork-lift 10k or higher, RTCH (Kalmar) 50k, and various types of military equipment. Supports assigned missions operating Heavy Equipment: Material Handling Equipment support movements. Performs daily Preventive Maintenance Checks (PMCS) on equipment prior to operation and at completion of mission task assignment or at end of work shift. Inspect, clean, and perform operator level maintenance on equipment in accordance with standards. Closely interact with the customer for movement of materials and equipment. Perform daily safety checks to ensure equipment is in safe operating condition. Follow related safety regulations, contract requirements, company policies, and operating procedures Ensure equipment is properly utilized, maintained, and stored. Complete necessary documentation, reporting, and limited office duties. Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
