About The Position
NACG is seeking Haul Truck Operators to join their remote mining site team in the Fort McMurray area. This is an opportunity to join one of the safest and largest contracts in the region. NACG offers a combined rate of up to $49.67/hour as well as room for growth.
Requirements
- Minimum of one year experience in a mining atmosphere and running a rigid frame truck (793 and 830/930 experience is an asset)
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma is considered an asset
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal
- Valid CSO or BSO (Energy Safety Canada)
- Silica Awareness (Energy Safety Canada)
- Wood Buffalo Wildlife Awareness (Energy Safety Canada)
- OHS Alberta Legislation Awareness (Energy Safety Canada)
- H2S Awareness (Energy Safety Canada)
- Field Ergonomics (Energy Safety Canada)
Nice To Haves
- 793 and 830/930 experience is an asset
Responsibilities
- Operate various makes and models of haul trucks, transporting raw material from the mine for processing (CAT/Komatsu)
- Ensure compliance to all company, client and legislated safety policies, operating standards and procedures
- Using adequate and suitable safety equipment, including PPE
- Reviewing safe work plans/hazard assessment with prior to job commencement
- Complete walk-arounds, safety checks and field level risk assessments and ensure the heavy equipment is running properly
- Report any necessary repairs to the maintenance team or supervisors
- Report all incidents, damage and near misses immediately
