About The Position

This position is responsible for safely performing routine preventative maintenance on heavy equipment, including but not limited to refueling equipment, checking, and maintaining all fluid levels and lubricating grease points per manufacturer’s specifications. The role involves performing mechanical and lubrication routine/preventative maintenance on earthmoving equipment by checking oil levels and changing oil, checking seals for leakage, grease, check filters, and refueling. The Heavy Equipment Oiler/Lube Tech will operate a lube truck on job sites throughout Southern Arizona as needed, use proper tools to complete lubrication and maintenance, and follow contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations. Other duties as required.

Requirements

• Two (2) years of experience working directly on the repair of heavy, earth-moving equipment and/or related equipment.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with HAZMAT and Tanker Endorsement or ability to obtain.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment components and systems.
• Ability to perform routine maintenance.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to obtain an MSHA Part 46 Certificate (5000-23) as required for the job.
• Comply, understand, and support corporate safety initiatives to ensure a safe work environment.
• Ability and willingness to abide by Granite’s Code of Conduct daily.
