R&D Maintenance Services, Inc. provides operations and maintenance services on U.S Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) projects throughout the southeast. We are the Operations and Maintenance Contractor for the Tennessee Tombigbee Waterway Project providing equipment, machinery, and facility maintenance and repair on several hundred miles of waterway and 10 locks/dams/spillways on the system. The position is based at our office at Whitten Lock and Dam near Dennis, MS. This position repairs, services, adjusts, and tests a wide variety of mobile and stationary machines and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of mechanics (engine and electric powered). Operates and inspects diesel and gasoline-powered equipment in order to diagnose defects. Dismantles and reassembles heavy equipment and machinery. Cleans, lubricates, replaces parts and/or components, and performs other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles including earthmoving equipment, pumps, generators, mobile construction equipment, etc. Primarily shop-based but also performs field repairs.
