About The Position

WIN Waste Innovations is seeking a Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic to repair and maintain its fleet of heavy equipment under supervision. Mechanics at all experience levels are encouraged to apply, and eligible mechanics may receive a sign-on bonus of up to $5,000. The role includes preventive maintenance, vehicle safety checks, service calls, and repairs identified in Vehicle Condition Reports. The mechanic also supports Lead Mechanics, completes repair-related documentation, and maintains a clean and safe work area in accordance with OSHA and organizational standards.

The mechanic is expected to contribute to a positive work environment through constructive communication and interactions with customers, clients, vendors, coworkers, and management. The position involves handling tools and equipment, reaching, climbing and walking at heights often greater than four feet, and occasionally lifting equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

WIN Waste Innovations is a waste management company with 2,300 employees and 50 strategically located collection, transfer, and disposal assets. Requirements

• Equivalent of a high school diploma or G.E.D. certification.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to handle tools and equipment and perform fine motor tasks.
• Ability to reach with hands and arms.
• Ability to climb and walk at heights often greater than four feet.
• Ability to occasionally lift equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance services.
• Conduct safety checks on vehicles.
• Perform service calls.
• Review and complete repairs identified on Vehicle Condition Reports.
• Assist Lead Mechanics as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with OSHA and organizational standards.
• Complete paperwork associated with vehicle repairs, document parts usage, and account for applied times.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
• Maintain a positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner that supports positive interactions with customers, clients, vendors, coworkers, and management.
