About The Position

Sunstate Equipment Co. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to ensure our equipment is up and running safely and smoothly. This role involves performing regular preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a wide range of construction equipment and our delivery vehicle fleet at the branch location. You will troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, ignition, and pneumatic systems, diagnose diesel and gas engines, and perform maintenance on drive trains. Occasional delivery of equipment or parts to other technicians may also be required.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience as a diesel mechanic.
• Experience with construction equipment background is preferred.
• Must possess the necessary tools to perform the job.
• Experience with performing diagnostics and repairs, not just preventative maintenance.
• Experience using diagnostic software and tools.
• High quality control.
• Respect your work and make it known.
• Willingness and readiness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Performing regular preventative maintenance on construction equipment and delivery vehicles.
