About The Position
Sunstate Equipment Co. is hiring a Heavy Equipment Mechanic (Technician III) where safety and people are core values. We offer competitive pay starting at $31.05 to $43/Hr, paid weekly, with a typical schedule of Monday – Friday 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM, and overtime based on business needs. Requirements
- 5-7 years’ experience as a diesel mechanic, with a construction, heavy equipment, or equipment rental background.
- Must have the tools needed to perform repairs in this line of work.
- Experience with diesel and gas engines as well as drivetrains.
- Experience performing preventative maintenance, major, and minor repairs on hydraulic, electrical, ignition, pneumatic systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostics skills; experience with electrical, hydraulic, fuel systems, ignition, and drivetrain.
- A DOT medical card is required.
- Clean driving record.
Responsibilities
- Performing preventative maintenance, major, and minor repairs on hydraulic, electrical, ignition, and pneumatic systems.
- Troubleshooting and diagnostics of electrical, hydraulic, fuel systems, ignition, and drivetrain.
- Maintaining a safe driving record as you may be in the on-call rotation.
