About The Position

We are seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic / Operator to support our construction operations by ensuring equipment is maintained, repaired, and ready for daily use. This role is primarily focused on working on construction equipment , with secondary responsibilities operating equipment when mechanical services are not immediately required. This is a hands-on, field-oriented position critical to keeping our fleet operating at full capacity.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience operating heavy equipment, with experience in a construction setting preferred
• Proven experience working on construction equipment
• Knowledge of Agricultural tractors and agricultural equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair equipment issues
• Ability to travel as required for the position
• Willingness to perform both mechanical and operational duties as business needs dictate
• Valid CDL (highly preferred, but not required)

Nice To Haves

• Experience operating heavy equipment in a construction environment (preferred, not required)
• Familiarity with fleet maintenance practices (preferred, not required)

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on construction equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues and complete repairs in a timely manner
• Maintain working knowledge of agricultural tractors and related equipment
• Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life
• Document repairs and communicate equipment status with supervisors and operations teams
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards and company policies
• Operate various types of heavy equipment as needed, including but not limited to: Excavators, Dozers, Tractors, Skid steers.
• Support field operations by operating equipment when mechanical work is not required
