Five Rivers Analytics (FRA) is looking for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Combat Systems (Construction Engineer) to work in Fort Hood, TX. This role is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and overhauling heavy military equipment, with a focus on combat systems such as engineer equipment, including trucks, bulldozers, power shovels, graders, loaders, and other heavy machinery used in construction and combat support operations. The role requires specialized knowledge of hull and turret operations, plus general heavy equipment maintenance. Perform field-level and sustained maintenance on engines, transmissions, drive trains, hydraulic systems, brakes, fuel systems, and electrical components. Operate and inspect equipment to diagnose defects, dismantle/reassemble using hoists and hand tools, and replace defective engines, transmissions, and subassemblies. Test overhauled equipment to ensure operating efficiency. Weld broken parts and structural members. Repair, adjust, and maintain mining machinery (stripping/loading shovels, drilling/cutting machines, continuous mining machines). Oversee non-specialized mechanics to ensure quality repairs.
