About The Position

We're looking for a hands-on and dependable Lube Technician to help keep our heavy equipment and plant operations running safely, efficiently, and reliably. This position is responsible for routine equipment maintenance, inspections, lubrication, fluid checks, cleaning, and identifying equipment issues before they become larger problems. Requirements

  • 3+ years of heavy equipment experience; sand or aggregate plant experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment and industrial plant components, including conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, pumps, screens, silos, elevators, baghouses, and related equipment.
  • Ability to perform basic math and read a tape measure.
  • Ability to safely rig and lift heavy objects.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform sheave and pulley alignment and conveyor belt tracking and alignment.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in hot or cold environments.
  • Some experience operating heavy equipment such as skid steers, telehandlers, and track hoes/backhoes preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Vocational or technical training in diesel mechanics preferred.
  • A safety-first mindset and commitment to maintaining reliable, efficient equipment and plant operations.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, stoop, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments, including indoors and outdoors.

Nice To Haves

  • Sand or aggregate plant experience is a plus.
  • Some experience operating heavy equipment such as skid steers, telehandlers, and track hoes/backhoes preferred.
  • Vocational or technical training in diesel mechanics preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Grease loaders and associated equipment at the beginning of each shift.
  • Wash loaders and other equipment as needed.
  • Clean equipment cabs, lights, and cab glass daily.
  • Blow out air filters daily and check and maintain equipment fluid levels at the beginning of each shift.
  • Perform routine equipment inspections according to the Company's prescribed inspection schedule.
  • Complete and submit detailed equipment inspection reports.
  • Communicate daily with the rental company and Plant Manager regarding accepted, returned, and damaged rental and company-owned equipment.
  • Identify and communicate equipment maintenance needs and potential problems.
  • Maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Perform work in compliance with applicable federal and state mining laws and regulations.
