About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Lube Tech to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in maintenance and light duty mechanic experience on heavy equipment down to medium duty vehicles and trailers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or Lube Teck, preferably on logging or forestry equipment.
  • Valid certificates or diploma from a reputable mechanical program or institute (if applicable).
  • Ability to work in challenging environments, including steep elevations and adverse weather conditions.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Must be able to lift heavy objects and perform physical activities as needed.
  • Will need own tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in maintenance and light duty mechanic experience on heavy equipment down to medium duty vehicles and trailers.

Responsibilities

  • Drain motor oil, replace oil/hydraulic filters, and refill fluids: oil, hydraulic, brake, gear, and windshield wiper fluid.
  • Grease all zerk points on machines.
  • Grease all lube points on trucks and trailers.
  • Check tire pressure, adjust air levels, and perform basic tire rotations or repairs.
  • Conduct multi-point visual checks of undercarriage, belts, hoses, and brake pad wear limits.
  • Swap out old air filters, cabin filters, light bulbs, batteries, etc.
  • When needed, use truck and gooseneck trailer to deliver chains, tracks or small equipment to jobsites.
  • Safely navigate steep and uneven ground while traveling to work sites and equipment, demonstrating proficiency while repairing machinery in difficult environments as part of a team or independently.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections of equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while on the job site.
  • Maintain accurate records to capture parts and consumables data.
  • Participate in safety meetings and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment.
