About The Position

Build the Future with Us — EquipmentShare is Hiring a Heavy Equipment Field Technician (Mechanic). Work on the newest fleet in the industry. As a Field Technician at EquipmentShare, you'll diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on heavy equipment and aerial lifts — with our proprietary T3 platform pulling service data from hundreds of makes and models so you can find root cause fast and work smarter, not harder.

Requirements

  • Your own tools applicable to the position
  • Mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of hand and diagnostic tools
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and diagrams
  • Strong customer service, teamwork, and communication skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record; must be at least 21 to operate company vehicles

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience servicing heavy equipment, aerial lifts, or diesel systems
  • Trade school certificate or OEM certifications
  • Advanced experience with hydraulic and electrical diagnostics
  • Working knowledge of OSHA requirements

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer-owned equipment, exercising independent judgment
  • Travel to customer job sites for repair and maintenance; maintain your service vehicle in clean, professional condition
  • Use T3 on a laptop or tablet to create and monitor work orders, track service intervals, and order parts
  • Document all work performed accurately and daily
  • Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts
  • Support the training and development of junior technicians
  • Follow safe work practices on every job
