About The Position

Seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment & Diesel Mechanic to keep heavy equipment, trucks, trailers, cranes, and other motorized equipment operating safely and reliably. This role involves routine maintenance, troubleshooting, field repairs, and emergency service.

Requirements

5+ years of heavy equipment and/or trailer/crane maintenance experience.
5+ years of experience in at least two additional technical areas, such as: Hydraulics, Electronics, Small engines, Other related mechanical systems.
High school diploma/GED plus trade school, vocational training, or equivalent diesel/mechanical experience.
Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet urgent repair deadlines.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

Nice To Haves

Professional heavy equipment maintenance certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

Diagnose mechanical problems and complete repairs on heavy equipment, trucks, trailers, cranes, and related machinery.
Perform preventive maintenance and respond to urgent repair needs.
Review repair priorities and coordinate work with the maintenance team.
Gather required parts, tools, and equipment for assigned repairs.
Complete work orders with mileage, operating hours, repairs, and other required details.
Respond to emergency service calls and communicate critical equipment issues.
Work efficiently to reduce equipment downtime.
Maintain shop tools, equipment, and work areas.
Follow safety procedures and applicable regulations.
Perform other mechanical and maintenance duties as needed.
