About The Position

Perform maintenance and repairs of complex crane and heavy equipment with limited or no supervision in a highly skilled, safe, and professional manner. This role involves the maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on a variety of company owned and customer’s equipment, requiring a high degree of independent judgment. The technician will also be responsible for providing service documentation, training lower-level technicians, and demonstrating equipment for customer use. Additionally, the role requires ensuring compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations, policies, and procedures to achieve zero incidents and injuries, and consistent communication on all activities to appropriate individuals (internal & external). Adherence to all Companywide policies is expected to eliminate and/or reduce exposure to liability. Participation in special projects or assigned work is also part of the role.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
3 + years of experience with troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining preferable Grove and Manitowoc Cranes.
GMK Training.
Willingness to travel with some overnights.
Valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

Highly developed mechanical and electrical troubleshooting background, particularly with an emphasis on cranes.
Extensive knowledge of crane equipment.
An advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams on AT Cranes.
Own the tools applicable to position.
Exhibit strong teamwork, verbal, and written skills.
Factory training certifications a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

Maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on a variety of company owned and customer’s equipment.

Use schematics and diagrams to provide repairs on AT Crane.
Ensure compliance in all safety, health, and environmental regulations, policies and procedures for a goal of zero incidents and injuries.
Communicate consistently on all activities to appropriate individuals (internal & external).
Maintain ongoing communication and adhere to all Companywide policies to eliminate and/or reduce exposure to liability.
Participates as needed in special projects or work as assigned.
Maintain and repair Rough Terrain Cranes.
Maintain and repair Crawler Cranes.
Provide certified crane inspections.
