About The Position

As a Heavy Duty Counter position you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our Heavy Duty Parts business at Auto Value Pontiac, MI. This position requires strong knowledge of Heavy Duty Truck equipment as well as a strong background in retail automotive sales and customer service. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team and be at the forefront of a rapidly expanding sector. This is a Full time position with rotation on Saturdays. Wage will be discussed during formal interview. Competitive pay based on experience.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Heavy Duty Parts, with a strong preference for comprehensive knowledge across all makes.
  • Proven ability to effectively source and identify Heavy Duty Truck parts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with team members and management.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong knowledge of Heavy Duty Truck equipment
  • Strong background in retail automotive sales and customer service

Responsibilities

  • Utilize your extensive experience (minimum 5 years) in Heavy Duty Parts, preferably covering all makes, to provide comprehensive support to our customers.
  • Demonstrate the "Never Say No" Philosophy by efficiently gathering information to locate and identify any required Heavy Duty Truck parts.
  • Collaborate with our Territory Sales Managers (TSMs) to identify sales opportunities and engage customers on our full range of Heavy Duty offerings.
  • Execute prompt and effective follow-up with customers to ensure accurate part selection and exceptional service.
  • Assist management in developing sales promotions to drive Heavy Duty sales growth.
  • Work closely with management to establish tailored Heavy Duty inventories for the stores you support, based on customer demand.
  • Conduct outbound sales calls on a daily basis, leveraging sales promotions to foster Heavy Duty sales leads.
