About The Position

Finning is growing fast and is looking to hire a Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic to their busy Regina shop for an afternoon shift (3 PM - 1 AM).

Requirements

• Journeyperson Certification (Heavy Equipment, Truck and Transport, Agriculture, Automotive)
• Dedication to safety
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator

Nice To Haves

• Apprentices will be considered based on experience
• Understanding of the Caterpillar product line
• Engine and/or component rebuilding experience
• Transmission or Hydraulic testing
• Previous gas engine and power generation experience
• Experience with SIS (Service Information System), ET and warranty systems

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair equipment
• Condition reporting
• Verifying components due to CAT reusability guidelines
• Operation bench testing pieces
• Operation of engine dynos
• Interface with customers, product, and sales support
• Working with supervisors on various tasks
• Equipment and facility continuous improvements
• Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment
• Various related duties as required

Benefits

• Wage: $42.62 - $51.57
• Additional Afternoon Shift Premium: $3.50
• Bonus Target: 4%
