About The Position

Finning is growing and so are the opportunities! We are hiring multiple Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanics (Red Seal) to join our team at Conuma, Tumbler Ridge on a 14 x 14 Continuous Shift rotation. This role offers an opportunity to work on ultra-class Caterpillar mining equipment for the biggest players in the industry. As a Heavy Duty Mechanic with Conuma, Tumbler Ridge, you’ll troubleshoot and repair a variety of Caterpillar mining equipment such as haul trucks, graders, shovel and dozers leveraging your technical knowledge to build trust, solve challenges, and deliver the reliability our customers depend on.

Requirements

• Interprovincial Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic/ (HET) Certification
• Valid driver’s license with a successful recent drivers abstract (5 Yr)
• 5+ Years Off Road Mechanical Experience recommended
• Experience with 793, 789 and 785 haul trucks, D10 dozers, 395 HEX, 6015 shovels and 224/18/16 Motor Graders
• Computer literacy along with Finning S-level courses
• Previous repair experience on the Caterpillar mining and general line product lines would be considered an asset
• Ability to obtain Customer Site Access (Drug & Alcohol screening, and may include Fitness testing)

Responsibilities

• Field diagnosis and running repairs of CAT Equipment in a field environment
• Interface with customers, products and sales support
• Large‑scale overhauls and rebuilds
• Component replacements
• Completing required paperwork and maintaining clear customer communication
