Heavy Duty Mechanic (Tech B) - Budget Truck - FT
About The Position
This role involves performing essential mechanical repairs and maintenance on a diverse fleet of newer moving vans and box trucks across multiple brands with minimal technical supervision. Responsibilities include oil and fluid services, lubrication, tire repairs, brake and suspension work, and warranty-related repairs. The technician may also assist senior technicians with more complex diagnostics and repair procedures. Driving a Budget Truck on public roads for testing, repair verification, or operational support may be required. The work ensures trucks operate safely and efficiently, reducing downtime and supporting fleet availability.
Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License (Class A, B, or C)
- Minimum of 2 years of professional auto repair experience
- At least 1 ASE certification, with the ability to obtain 2 additional ASE certifications within the first year
- Working knowledge of ASE certification areas including Engine Repair, Drivetrain/Axles, Suspension/Steering, Brakes, Electrical, Heating/Air Conditioning, Engine Performance, and Light Vehicle/Diesel
- Comfortable working in a mechanical shop with moderate to loud noise levels
- Must have a complete set of tools required for automotive repair and maintenance
- Basic computer skills, including typing and data entry
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, continuously stand, bend, reach, walk, sit and kneel frequently, enter, exit and drive vehicles
- Must be at least 21 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must be able to obtain DOT medical clearance
- Regular, on-site presence is required.

- Previous Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) experience is preferred and considered a strong advantage.
