Heavy Duty Mechanic - Field - Mildred Lake
About The Position
Finning is growing fast and is looking for Heavy Duty Field Mechanics to support their customers in the Oil Sands. This role is ideal for individuals with large CAT mining equipment field service experience. The position offers a competitive wage, continuous shift premium, night shift premium, field premium, and a 14x14 continuous shift schedule with extra scheduled weeks off per year. Requirements
- Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) Certification
- Experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician
- Strong field troubleshooting skills on the Caterpillar mining product line required for field based positions
- Valid class 5 driver’s license with a successful recent drivers abstract required for field positions
- Ability to obtain Customer Site access (Drug & Alcohol, fitness testing)
- Ability to wear a respirator where applicable
- Must become a member of the Union associated with this position
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair and maintain Caterpillar mining equipment
- Perform field diagnosis and field running repairs
- Large scale overhauls and rebuilds
- Component replacements
- Utilize Caterpillar SIS and ET daily
- Complete technical documentation (service reports, warranty, crossover notes)
- Interact with customers, sales support, and the rest of the Finning team
