About The Position

Finning is growing fast—and so are the opportunities! We’re hiring Heavy Duty Mechanics to support our expanding operations in Fort St John. In this role, you’ll put your skills into action by partnering directly with customers to keep their operations running at peak performance. You’ll troubleshoot and oversee repairs on a wide range of Caterpillar equipment — both in the shop and out in the field—leveraging your technical knowledge to build trust, solve challenges, and deliver the reliability our customers depend on.

Requirements

• Heavy Duty Mechanic certification
• Previous Caterpillar and general line equipment repair experience
• Experience working out of a service truck
• Completion, or be in the process of completing Finning S-level courses
• Must be able and willing to travel to and from customer sites across our territory
• Ability to obtain Customer Site access (Drug & Alcohol, fitness testing)
• Wear a respirator where applicable
• Required to become a member of the Union associated with this position

Nice To Haves

• Computer literacy along with an understanding of Finning systems and software programs
