About The Position

Ledcor is seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Forklift Operator for a major expansion project in Fort Saskatchewan, AB. The role involves operating a 70,000 lb capacity forklift to safely move, load, unload, and position heavy materials and equipment. The position requires adherence to strict safety protocols, daily equipment inspections, and collaboration with site personnel. This is an opportunity to join the True Blue Ledcor team on a significant industrial project.

Requirements

• Experience operating high-capacity forklifts; experience with 70,000 lb capacity equipment is preferred
• Valid forklift certification / ticket
• Strong understanding of heavy-load handling and industrial site safety practices
• Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial or construction environment
• Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
• Valid issued government photo Identification
• Project-specific online orientations must be completed

Responsibilities

• Operate a 70,000 lb capacity forklift to safely move, load, unload, and position heavy materials and equipment
• Complete daily equipment inspections and report mechanical issues or safety concerns
• Follow lift plans, load charts, and site safety procedures during all material handling activities
• Work with spotters and site personnel to safely execute material movements
• Load and unload trucks, organize laydown areas, and support project logistics
• Maintain equipment logs and required documentation
• Adhere to all Ledcor, client, and regulatory safety standards
