Requirements

  • High school diploma or the equivalent is preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to pass post-offer drug screening, physical examination (including a lift test), and background check.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnosing truck problems and performing truck repairs.
  • Creating repair plans and filling out parts requisitions for needed parts.
  • Tagging all warranty parts that are replaced and turning in parts with core value.
  • Communicating updates to their Foreman daily.
  • Maintaining toolboxes organized and workstations clean and safe.
  • Performing oil changes.
  • Performing brake inspections and working on brakes.
  • Performing general maintenance of the service department including sweeping, cleaning and other maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Performing basic chassis repairs.
  • Performing basic engine repairs.
  • Able to perform chassis Remove & Install.
  • Able to perform preventative and/or maintenance.
  • Competent in Internal/factory warranty processes.
  • Performing basic diagnostic skills.
  • Comfortable with major vendor/factory.
  • Can perform most chassis repairs.
  • Can perform engine accessory repairs.
  • Able to perform complete engine Remove & Install.
  • Performing advanced diagnostics skills.
  • Performing complete engine repairs.
  • Performing complex chassis repairs.
  • Knowledgeable on all vehicle component repairs.
  • Performing HVAC repairs.
  • Proficient on all vehicle component repairs.
  • Able to diagnose all vehicle component failures.
  • Competent in root cause failure analysis.
  • Performing vibration analysis.
  • Performing aftertreatment repairs.
  • Performing aftertreatment diagnostics.
