About The Position

Redneck Diesel Performance is looking for experienced diesel technicians who know their way around heavy-duty trucks, take pride in their work, and aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty. This is not an apprenticeship or entry-level position. We’re looking for a certified, experienced hand who can walk into the shop, take on a job, and get to work without needing to be taught the basics. We’re a family-owned, independent diesel shop with 21 bays and a crew that works on just about everything under the sun. We aren’t a dealership, and we don’t operate like one. There are no corporate politics, no layers of management, and no getting stuck doing the same repetitive job every day. Around here, every day—and every workweek—is wildly different. One day you may be completing an in-frame, and the next you could be chasing down an electrical problem, replacing wheel seals, installing kingpins, diagnosing a cooling-system issue, or performing an overhead adjustment. You may even get the opportunity to turn wrenches on one of our race trucks, Bootlegger or Gunslinger. We work on a wide variety of engines, trucks, and equipment, so we need technicians who can think for themselves, diagnose problems correctly, and do more than simply change parts. You must have the knowledge and hands-on experience to take a job from diagnosis through repair. Our shop is busy, fast-paced, and built around a tight-knit crew. Everyone is expected to carry their share of the workload, but we also step in and help one another when a job calls for it. Good work gets noticed, experience is respected, and we care about fixing trucks correctly—not just rushing them out the door. Again, this is not an apprenticeship position. We’re looking for an experienced, certified diesel technician who is ready to come in and contribute from day one. If you’re looking for an easy paycheck, a place to hide, or a job where someone has to stay on you all day, this ain’t it. But if you know diesel, enjoy tackling different kinds of repairs, and want to work in a family-owned shop where you’re treated like part of the crew instead of an employee number, we want to hear from you. Requirements

Previous professional heavy-duty diesel repair experience
Ability to work independently
Reliable personal transportation to and from work
A valid driver’s license
Your own tools
A reliable form of communication
Experience working with PACCAR, Caterpillar, Cummins, Detroit, or MaxxForce diesel engines
Experience with in-frames, overhead adjustments, wheel seals, kingpins, electrical diagnostics, cooling-system diagnostics, and other heavy-duty repairs
The ability to properly diagnose a problem instead of guessing and throwing parts at it
Punctuality and dependability
A strong work ethic and a willingness to outwork the rest
Pride in your work and a commitment to doing the job correctly
