About The Position

AGI Rosenort is seeking a Heavy Duty/Diesel Mechanic to join their team in Rosenort, MB. This role is responsible for repairing and servicing a wide variety of portable and permanent agriculture machinery, with a focus on meeting service requirements, station set up, health & safety, and quality control.

Requirements

• Experience working safely and a solution-oriented mindset are essential for success in this role.
• 5+ years of experience in a mechanic role working on heavy equipment
• Must be physically capable of performing the routine manual labourer components of the position which include but are not limited to heavy lifting (up to 100lbs), working with and around large equipment, exposure to all weather conditions, noise, dust, and chemical agents used in the mechanical field.
• An effective communicator, leader, and trainer who can work with all levels of management and non-supervisory employees to execute the responsibilities of this role.
• Able to exercise good judgement and initiative.

Nice To Haves

• Preference will be given to certified Heavy Duty Equipment Technicians or similar certified trade.
• Experience repairing and operating forklifts, loader, skid steer, scissor lift, bucket lift, and shunt truck would be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, repairs, and overhauls of our mobile equipment fleet (diesel and propane forklifts, trucks, trailers, etc.). May include conducting safety certifications
• Repair and recondition equipment
• Maintain and care for shop tools and equipment
• Order maintenance parts as needed
• Documentation for completed repairs
• Other duties are required
