About The Position

This role is a seasonal position for 3 months only. You will be responsible for making sure your building looks clean, presentable, and inviting at all times. Some of the duties and responsibilities include maintaining common areas, and washrooms, mopping, sweeping, and wiping down the glass and other surfaces.

Requirements

• Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals, products, and equipment
• Knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System
• Ability to read & understand labels & instructions
• Acceptable security and criminal record check.
• Ability to pass Canadian Background Check
• experience with operating cleaning equipment & floor maintenance machines

Nice To Haves

• Previous custodial experience an asset

Responsibilities

• Clean offices, auditoriums, classrooms, washrooms, kitchen, dining areas, halls, entrances/exits, reception areas, and more;
• Ensure proper sanitation & disinfection procedures are followed;
• Replenish supplies as needed;
• Ensure garbage disposal in proper bins;
• Clean all dry & wet spills throughout the facility as required;
• Maintain & secure storage areas, cleaning equipment & materials in an orderly manner;
• Report equipment repairs and stock shortages;
• Perform and/or report minor maintenance repairs;
• Report damage & acts of vandalism;
• Other duties as assigned
