About The Position

The Heavy-Duty Kitchen Cleaner will perform the duties necessary to provide a clean working environment. The primary duties include heavy-duty cleaning, and cleanliness of the kitchen and related facilities, including detailed cleaning of stoves, ovens, coolers, hood filters, floor mats, freezers, and disposing of trash in accordance with management directives.

Requirements

Demonstrates willingness to learn all factors of proper kitchen cleaning.
Demonstrates ability to operate a wide variety of equipment in a high volume fast paced environment.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
Southern Nevada Food Handlers Safety Card
Identification that establishes identity
Identification that establishes the right to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

Minimum six (6) months previous experience as a Kitchen Cleaner preferred.

Responsibilities

Adheres to safe and sanitary cleaning procedures according to Silverton Casino, LLC, and Southern Nevada Health District standards.
Identifies and notifies Shift Steward, Assistant Executive Steward and/or Executive Steward of any unsafe conditions or areas, machinery that require attention or repair when as well as when materials and chemicals require restocking.
Breakdown and assembly of kitchen for proper cleaning and sanitization to include but not limited to ovens, ranges, broilers, deep fryers, griddles, grills, stoves, hoods, and filters.
Keeping assigned work areas clean includes but not limited to washing, scrubbing, wiping, mopping, and sanitizing.
Drain, filter and refill deep fryers as instructed.
Disposes of empty cardboard boxes and bales them for recycling.
Maintains floors throughout the shift.
Collects and disposes of trash from outlets.
Washes and sanitizes kitchen floor area, in compliance with Silverton Casino, LLC and Southern Nevada Health District standards.
Responds to request for cleaning and/or basic maintenance throughout the kitchen area.
Properly and safely utilize assigned equipment.
Adhere to safe and sanitary work habits regarding workstations and equipment in accordance with Silverton Casino, LLC, and Southern Nevada Health District standards.
Must understand and adhere to the safe handling, usage and storage of all chemicals used during the performance of job duties.

Maintain a high quality of guest service according to Silverton Be Amazing Service Standards.
Thorough knowledge of applicable Company and departmental policies and procedures as well as the willingness to learn and follow any policy or procedure that may be introduced in the future.
