About The Position

Rogue Disposal is looking for an experienced and reliable Diesel Mechanic to join their team in White City, OR. This is a full-time, long-term employment opportunity with competitive pay and benefits. The scheduled work week is Monday to Friday, with specific hours from Monday to Thursday (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM) and Friday (12:00 PM - 8:30 PM). The starting pay ranges from $29-$31/hr based on experience, with guaranteed overtime at time and a half after 40 hours.

Requirements

Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record (Required)
Experience in heavy truck equipment maintenance and repair
Provide personal tools.
Class B CDL OR the ability to obtain one within 90 days of employment if required.
Proficiency in vehicle and equipment diagnosis and repair.
Ability to read and comprehend service and technical information in English.

Responsibilities

Inspects and repairs vehicles with diesel engines
Handles routine repairs, including oil and tire changes along with minor and major repairs from A/C, hydraulics, electrical, welding, engine replacement, transmissions, etc.
Interprets diagnostic test results accurately
Writes detailed inspection reports and repair plans in our system
Collaborates with other diesel mechanics
Completes test drives to make sure the vehicle runs correctly
Uses power, machine, and hand tools safely
Communicate with drivers for issues in morning and afternoon
Reviews, completes or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports
Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards
Follows all Waste Connections repair shop regulations and standards
