About The Position

Les' Sanitary Service, a Waste Connections company, is looking for a Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join the team in CoosBay, OR! This position will also help support our satellite location in Reedsport. Mechanics interested in secure, steady employment are encouraged to apply. At least 1 year of experience doing maintenance on diesel trucks is preferred.

Requirements

Valid Driver’s License with a Clean Driving Record (Required)
Pass Background and Pre-employment Drug Test.
Experience in heavy truck equipment maintenance and repair
Provide personal tools.
Class B CDL OR the ability to obtain one within 90 days of employment if required.
Proficiency in vehicle and equipment diagnosis and repair.
Ability to read and comprehend service and technical information in English.

Nice To Haves

At least 1 year of experience doing maintenance on diesel trucks is preferred.

Responsibilities

Inspects and repairs vehicles with diesel engines
Handles routine repairs, including oil and tire changes along with minor and major repairs from A/C, hydraulics, electrical, welding, engine replacement, transmissions, etc.
Interprets diagnostic test results accurately
Writes detailed inspection reports and repair plans in our system
Collaborates with other diesel mechanics
Completes test drives to make sure the vehicle runs correctly
Uses power, machine, and hand tools safely
Communicate with drivers for issues in morning and afternoon
Reviews, completes or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports
Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards
Follows all Waste Connections repair shop regulations and standards
