About The Position

Arcosa Wind Towers, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of structural wind towers in North America. We focus on excellence, offering premier value to our customers. Arcosa Wind Towers, Inc. is searching for Heavy Assemblers. As a Heavy Assembler, you’ll assemble mechanical units, fabricated parts/components subassemblies, assemblies, and complete units using hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures, and miscellaneous equipment. The Heavy Assembler will also fit, align, calibrate, and adjust parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements, and repair units or products that have failed to meet requirements.

Requirements

Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools and hardware (i.e. bolts & nuts)
Ability to read and follow written instructions
Electrical wiring experience
Ability to match-up sub-assembly to the final product
Up to 1 Year of experience
Be able to list and move up to 50 pounds frequently
Be able to bend, twist and work out of normal working positions throughout the shift

Applicable Torque Certification from Arcosa

Responsibilities

Insert and/or attach sub-assemblies with appropriate hardware
Attach complex sub-assemblies and/or parts with appropriate hardware
Apply appropriate torque sequence and values
Read and follow complex instructions
Operate mobile equipment
Maintain attendance within acceptable standards
