About The Position

Controlled Combustion is a diverse and stable 40-year-old full service commercial heating company comprised of over 150 employees is looking to add another Gas and Oil Burner Service Technician to its team of Local Union 638-b service technicians. Our technicians are responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing gas and oil burners at various customer locations throughout the New York Metropolitan area. Our technicians can adjust and install various commercial temperature controls and devices and have a working knowledge of electrical circuits and troubleshooting. All our technicians can fire and adjust burners for maximum efficiency.

Requirements

• Understanding of Combustion Theory
• Experience servicing and maintaining Gas & Oil Burners, Atmospheric Boilers, Condensing Boilers, Scotch Marine Fire Tube Boilers
• Proficient with Electrical Meter, Combustion Gas Analyzer, Hand Tools
• Great Customer Service Skills

Nice To Haves

• High school or equivalent
• Servicing Gas and/or Oil Burners: 1 year
• Driver's License

Responsibilities

• Firing and adjusting burners for maximum efficiency
• Troubleshooting combustion failures and open limits
