About The Position

As our Heating & Plumbing Maintenance Technician, you will diagnose and resolve plumbing and residential heating issues across assigned properties. You will manage service needs from initial assessment through repair, testing, documentation, and closeout while working with a high degree of independence. You will identify required parts and materials early, verify that completed repairs operate properly, and determine when an issue can be handled within your scope versus when licensed or specialized support is required. Success in this role means using sound mechanical judgment, maintaining high repair standards, documenting the work accurately, and keeping every service request moving toward a clear resolution.

Requirements

  • Hands-on plumbing repair experience required, including diagnosing and repairing common leaks and related service issues.
  • Experience troubleshooting residential heating systems and identifying likely causes of heating problems.
  • Strong mechanical judgment and practical problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound field decisions.
  • Ability to recognize when a repair requires a licensed trade professional or specialized technical support.
  • Working knowledge of common plumbing and heating tools, materials, components, and repair methods.
  • Strong focus on repair quality, testing, safety, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify required parts, materials, and support before work is delayed.
  • Reliable work-order documentation, organization, and follow-through.
  • Clear communication regarding obstacles, pending items, and next steps.

  • Gas or oil license preferred, but not required.
