About The Position

Under minimal supervision, perform repetitive assembly and testing operations on heaters, upgrade kits, modules, Teflon cells, refurbish heater systems, and sub-assemblies. This role involves electromechanical assembly and testing, troubleshooting, and rework of heater systems and modules. The position also includes performing set-ups for test stands and assembly fixtures, training other team members, and transporting parts. Other duties include preparing systems for shipment, determining product rejects, and participating in statistical quality control.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in a production/manufacturing setting and/or mechanical assembly; or equivalent combination of education and training.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to read, write and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Read and fully understand written standard work instructions, product drawings, and diagrams.
  • Effectively communicate with peers and management, verbally and in writing.
  • Possess problem-solving ability to identify issues and ensure functionality.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to write by hand.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Operate simple hand tools used to crimp, cut, strip and measure.
  • Ability to communicate by speech and hearing continuously.
  • Visual acuity is needed for close detail work; computer use and reading assembly drawings and work instructions.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in Electronics or Advanced Technical Training i.e., IPC 610/620 strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assembly operations, electromechanical assembly and testing operations on heater systems, upgrade kits, heater modules, refurbish heater systems, and sub-assemblies.
  • Check assemblies for proper fit, adjusting and replacing parts and components as required.
  • Tests and troubleshoots heater systems and modules, using written or electronic test specifications.
  • Rework faulty systems or module assemblies, replacing parts if necessary.
  • Perform set-ups for test stands, assembly fixtures, and other test equipment.
  • Effectively train other team members on product lines.
  • Transports parts to be tested and completed parts to appropriate area for shipping, stocking, or rework.
  • Prepare and crate heater systems for shipment.
  • Determines product rejects for rework or scrap and completes required paperwork.
  • Participates in organizing statistical quality control.
