About The Position
The Heat Treating Technician performs heat treating per specifications outlined on work order, i.e., pre-heat, post-heat stress relieve, normalize, temper or anneal. For this position, day-to-day responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to: Operate all furnaces, Keep accurate records and furnace charts, Perform hardness testing to verify compliance to work order requirement, Organize “heat treat lots” of material based on time & temperature requirements.
Requirements
- Must be able to read and understand work orders, drawings, and other written instructions
- Must be able to operate a forklift and lifting devices
- Must be able to communicate in English (both written and oral) as it relates to the job
Responsibilities
