About The Position

McWilliams Forge Company, a leader in precision forged products for the aerospace industry, is seeking a Heat Treat Helper in their Heat Treat department. This role involves assisting the shift lead with hardening or tempering metal objects. The ideal candidate will have good eye and hand coordination and prior experience in an industrial manufacturing environment is a plus. The shift is Friday-Sunday, 5am-5pm.

Requirements

• Proficiency in English to speak, read, and write instructions.
• Availability to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalency or equivalent years of manufacturing experience.
• Comfort working in an environment with temperature swings (including working in the hot or cold).

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Loading, unloading, and verifying the quantity of parts per work order documentation and job instructions.
• Quenching heated parts in liquid baths such as oil or water.
• Performing maintenance (TPM) to the equipment.
• Following verbal and written instructions given by Supervision.
• Reporting any Heat Treat discrepancies to the Heat Treat Lead person.
• Using some judgment for following instructions and standardized procedures.
• Performing other duties as needed to meet production needs.
• Assisting in multiple departments as needed.
