About The Position

The Heat Treat Machine Operator sets up, operates, and monitors heat treatment equipment to produce quality parts and components according to specifications and production schedules. The role includes adjusting machine settings, conducting quality inspections, troubleshooting equipment issues, and performing routine maintenance to reduce downtime and production defects. The operator also supports daily production activities, assists with employee training, and follows NOV company policies, safety standards, and HSE requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate and work safely in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to multitask and respond quickly when needed.
• Great attitude and attendance record.
• Strong desire to learn and grow within the company.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Measure, mark, and record temperatures and reference points on materials or workpieces; select, align, and secure fixtures; and stamp position numbers.
• Calculate and set controls to regulate temperatures, pressures, speed, gas pressure, and part clearance; enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit machine control programs.
• Manufacture parts and components within specified tolerances, with limited scrap, and in accordance with the production schedule.
• Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions and adjust machine controls as required.
• Perform in-process inspections to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and quality standards.
• Comply with NOV company and HSE policies and procedures.
• Perform helper duties such as stenciling, cleaning, and assisting operators in the building to support smooth production.
• Perform equipment maintenance to keep operations running smoothly.
• Train new employees and cross-train in other areas.
