About The Position

The Heat Stress Sales Manager develops new markets and sales opportunities for NK’s established and trusted Heat Stress product line, including the KestrelMet 6400 WBGT Weather Station, the Kestrel 5400 Heat Stress Tracker, and the Ambient Weather Network (AWN) remote monitoring platform. Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Heat Stress Sales Manager will research potential customers and partners, contact, and nurture successful business relationships in efforts to achieve NK’s sales goals.

Requirements

  • 4-year degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a business development or sales role, preferably related to heat stress, WBGT, or environmental monitoring sales.
  • Experience with selling to multi-layer distribution channels.
  • Proficient in all forms of business communication including written, verbal and in-person.
  • Strong computer skills – internet research, email management, task management, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience using a CRM, including Salesforce.
  • Experience using AI tools, including Claude.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the company’s achievement of sales growth targets through business development initiatives.
  • Research potential customers and partners, make contact, nurture business relationships, and close sales.
  • Create detailed Sales Reports & Presentations with actionable analysis of sales trends, dealer & customer performance, and market opportunities.
  • Train new customers on heat stress product lines and features, including the KestrelMet 6400 WBGT Weather Station, Kestrel 5400 Heat Stress Tracker, and the AWN monitoring platform.
  • Track sales opportunities and activities and report on performance through utilization of the company’s CRM.
  • Take ownership for creating, updating and distributing price lists and changes.
  • Participate in sales meetings, trade shows, conferences and events to develop new business. These events may require travel.
  • Assist in new product launches with focus on expanding existing product sales into new markets.
  • Manage the independent sales rep group, providing direction, product training, and performance oversight to support regional sales goals.
  • Listen and learn from customers. Observe relevant competing products, services and industry activity. Bring field understanding back to the product management team to enhance product offerings or messaging.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training conferences on selling and marketing products.
  • Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
