Remote Hearing Instrument Specialist
About The Position
This role offers a unique opportunity to deliver expert hearing care entirely from home, diverging from traditional clinic-based audiology jobs. At hear.com, you will work with motivated patients, matched with the right technology, and supported by a team that handles logistics. This position is at the forefront of teleaudiology, aiming to reshape the field. You will conduct remote evaluations, device fittings, and follow-up care, educate patients on their hearing technology, and provide feedback on new tools and workflows. Collaboration across teams is essential to ensure seamless patient journeys, and you will contribute clinical insights to hear.com's global network.
Requirements
- Active HIS license in CA, MN, NY, PA, or TX
- 2+ years of fitting experience
- A patient-first approach: empathetic, communicative, and genuinely invested in outcomes
- Comfort working independently and managing your own schedule and caseload
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work across teams in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable home internet: hardwired connection required (100+ Mbps download / 20+ Mbps upload)
- Willingness to obtain licensure in additional states (all associated costs fully covered by hear.com)
Responsibilities
- Conduct remote evaluations, device fittings, and follow-up care for patients across your licensed state(s)
- Educate and guide patients on getting the most from their hearing technology
- Provide feedback on new hearing care tools and workflows that improve the patient experience
- Collaborate cross functionally to ensure seamless patient journeys
- Contribute clinical insights to hear.com's global network, the largest independent audiology network in the world
