About The Position

Cranston Hearing Center is seeking a Licensed Hearing Aid Dispenser / Hearing Instrument Specialist (HIS) to join their patient-focused hearing care team in Cranston, RI. This role offers an opportunity for a provider who values meaningful patient relationships, advanced hearing technology, and a supportive clinical environment, without high-pressure sales tactics. The position involves conducting comprehensive hearing evaluations, recommending personalized hearing solutions, fitting and adjusting hearing instruments, providing ongoing follow-up care and counseling, and educating patients and their families. Additionally, the role includes performing in-office maintenance, building long-term patient relationships, ensuring patient satisfaction and retention, supporting clinic growth through referrals and outreach, contributing to appointment conversion, maintaining accurate patient records, following clinical workflows, and partnering with support staff for efficient clinic operations.

Requirements

  • Licensed Hearing Aid Dispenser / Hearing Instrument Specialist (required)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive hearing evaluations in accordance with Rhode Island licensing guidelines
  • Recommend personalized hearing solutions based on patient needs, lifestyle, and hearing goals
  • Fit, program, and adjust hearing instruments to ensure optimal comfort and performance
  • Provide ongoing follow-up care, counseling, and long-term patient support
  • Educate patients and their families on hearing loss, treatment options, and device use
  • Perform in-office cleanings, troubleshooting, and minor repairs
  • Build long-term, trusted patient relationships through education and high-touch care
  • Deliver a compassionate, supportive experience aligned with a “patient for life” approach
  • Ensure consistent communication and follow-up to drive patient satisfaction and retention
  • Support clinic growth through patient retention, referrals, and local outreach efforts
  • Contribute to appointment conversion and overall clinic performance
  • Maintain accurate, timely patient records and documentation
  • Follow established clinical workflows and best practices
  • Partner with support staff to ensure an efficient, organized clinic environment
