Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital is looking to add a Healthy Start Supervisor to the team, who will oversee the Healthy Start caregivers and act as a technical resource for team members. Some of these Healthy Start programs include Lactation, health education, Babies and Beyond, home visit nurses and RN Case Managers. This is a great role for an organized individual with prior leadership experience who is passionate about healthcare. A caregiver in this position works days from 8:00AM – 5:00PM.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree
  • Three years of supervisory experience.
  • Additional years of experience may substitute the education requirement
  • Knowledge of supervision, training, development and public relations practices
  • Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
  • Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
  • Requires dexterity sufficient to operate a computer in the course of work.
  • Will require the ability to operate various types of powered material handling equipment.
  • Available 24/7 through an issued pager and cell-phone.
  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required

  • Healthcare experience in a large organization

Responsibilities

  • Supervise caregivers and the technical and administrative functions of the assigned group.
  • Act as a technical resource for the team.
  • Implement goals that are consistent with assigned clinical and non-clinical units to achieve goals.
  • Maintain staffing levels.
  • Approve and schedule paid time off and leave requests.
  • Provide leadership and training.
  • Coordinate and provide orientation and education.
  • Analyze workflows and procedures.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve procedures, processes, speed, quality and effectiveness.
  • Ensure cross coverage.
  • Develop an effective work team.
  • Communicate with caregivers and provide orientation on policies.
