The Group Exercise Instructor will be responsible for the delivery of safe, effective, and physically appropriate group exercise classes. Staff are expected to act professionally and dress according to requirements, arriving promptly for their shifts. Opening personnel must arrive with adequate time to prepare the facility for opening. Instructors must follow the format of the class type and description to be taught, ensuring classes start and finish on time, and scheduling adequate time for setup and takedown. Classes must be safe and within industry standards and guidelines. Instructors are responsible for their own music, using family-friendly selections. They should become familiar with class participants, learning names, health concerns, and physical limitations, while maintaining constant supervision. Maintenance concerns should be directed immediately to the Executive/Wellness/Program Director. Participants must wear appropriate footwear, and all equipment must be put away correctly after each shift. Instructors are responsible for finding their own substitutes and communicating them to the supervisor in a timely manner. Attendance at regularly scheduled, mandatory staff meetings is required. Staff must utilize the time clock and monitor their timesheets, bringing any corrections to the supervisor promptly. Upholding all staff safety requirements, including cleaning protocols throughout the day, is essential. Other duties may be assigned.
